Victor Dantas Law College was established in the year 2008 by ‘Victor Dantas Charitable and Educational Foundation’ with a view to train young generation with knowledge of Law.
Victor Dantas Law College is the first Law College in Sindhudurga District. When there was no Law College in this District, people of Sindhudurga would have to reluctantly go to Kolhapur, Thane, Mumbai or Goa for studying Law.
The college was started at Kudal with an aim of providing affordable legal education to the people of Sindhudurga and other parts of Konkan Region,within their vicinity. Ever since thisCollege was started in 2008-09, the College has maintained the trend of giving better results at the University Examinations. The first batch of LL.B graduates in Sindhudurga district, passed out from Victor Dantas Law College, Kudal, in the year 2010-11.
Over the years, this college has participated in various state as well as national level competitions and have conducted seminars, workshops, Legal Aid Camps and also conducted guest lectures.
“Spreading Legal awareness in the society”, is one of the important socio-legal aims of our institution. The college conducts programmes for the locals with participations and help from Judicial Officers, Advocates, Lawyers, Law Teachers, our past students and present students. Victor Dantas Law College is well-known at various academic levels as being affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
